What-A-Ride!!!!
We befriended the Inn keeper, his name is Gene. He is a motorcycle enthusiast as well and guided us through some of the best back roads from and to; Luchenbach, Johnson City, Bander, Gruene, and Fredericksburg! Spectacular!
The Natural Bridge Caverns
The weather in New Braunfels Tx has been great! In the 70's during the days and 50's at night. Clear skies and sunny, long winding roads, perfect for motorcycling. Today we rode our motorcycle and explored The Natural Bridge Caverns. Beautiful day:)

A funny thing happened on the way to San Antonio....
On our way to San Antonio, Cat wanted to pull over at a pecan store off the hwy, once I got off I realized our rig did not fit in the drive way so I tried to make a U-turn through a parking lot. Apparently, the owner didn't like big rigs going thru his property so he put up a large pipe in the shape of an upside down "L" to enable rigs from driving onto his property. Well, I did not see the pipe and it decapitated the AC from our rv and caused some damage to the roof.
We were fortunate enough to be 40 miles away from a Camping World in Braunfels Tx. We took the RV there and stayed at the Wingate Hotel next door. Although the insurance took care of everything, we decided to upgrade and trade our travel trailer for a 5th wheeler. That would mean we would have to trade our F150 for a F350 to compensate for the load. So we did:
We are still in the process of obtaining the 5th wheeler, a RAPTOR 377SE:
In the interim, we had the pleasure of hooking up with one of my best friends, Miriam Parra:) and did some sightseeing in Gruene Tx which looks a lot like something right out of "Mayberry" from the "Andy Griffith Show".

Onto Beaumont and Galveston Texas!
New Orleans was amazing; however the drive to Texas was exhausting. The roadway jostled and shook us all the way to Beaumont. Met a lovely family that has a Big Horn (lives up to it's name) who were also in the same New Orleans RV camp. Had a relaxing stay and chilly weather in Beaumont Texas, took a day trip to Galveston Island. We took the ferry over to the Island, took a tour of the "Bishop House" and historical district. Boarded the 1877 Ship Elissa, and had the best cioppino we've ever had at the "Gumbo bar".
